I presented with signs of infection and needing extraction of a broken tooth. Finances were a struggle and was made known. I was told it would ONLY be $140 to be seen. After being forced in to a piss poor evaluation- where i was judged on my history (smoker). The hygienist, after telling her my natural remedy for infection stated "We recommend that to patients with dry socket". I was unable to pay for the extraction, same day. So i went to pay. I asked the woman who took payment if it was customary to NOT send a patient presenting with signs of infection- home with an antibiotic. After this- i received a script for a high dose antibiotic. Had i NOT advocated for myself in this situation... I fear that I would have been in the hospital with sepsis, or worse. Thanks guys. (Not you, Dak. You're great. 💖)
